Acceptance of terms
By installing or using the MailLens Chrome extension or visiting maillens.co, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension and discontinue use.
Description of service
MailLens is a Chrome extension that analyzes emails inside Gmail for phishing indicators and AI-generated content. The service is provided on a free tier (30 checks per month) and an optional paid subscription (unlimited checks).
Acceptable use
You agree to use MailLens only for its intended purpose: scanning your own emails for phishing and AI-generated content. You may not reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the extension. You may not use MailLens to interfere with Gmail or any other service, or to violate any applicable law.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Subscription billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly at $4.99/month through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All prices are in USD. Stripe's terms of service govern the handling of your payment information.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the extension or your Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, your paid access will continue through the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.
Free tier
The free tier includes 30 email checks per calendar month. Usage resets on the first of each month. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits with reasonable notice.
No warranty
MailLens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that analysis results will be 100% accurate. MailLens is a tool to assist your judgment — it is not a substitute for exercising caution with suspicious emails.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MailLens and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages from reliance on analysis results, loss of data, or unauthorized access to your account.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of MailLens after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maine, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
