What MailLens does
MailLens is a Chrome extension that analyzes emails inside Gmail for phishing indicators and AI-generated content. When you click "Phishing Check" or "AI Check" on an email, the sender, subject, and body of that email are sent to our server for analysis.
Email content is analyzed but never stored
Email content (sender, subject, and body text) is transmitted to our server solely for the purpose of running the analysis. It is passed directly to the AI model, and the result is returned to you. We do not store, log, or retain any email content after the analysis is complete.
Account information
When you create a MailLens account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. Your email address is used for authentication and to manage your subscription. We do not access your Gmail account or read any emails beyond the specific email you choose to analyze.
Usage data
We track the number of analyses performed per account for the purpose of enforcing free-tier limits. This is stored as a count only — no email content is associated with usage records.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
Your data is never sold
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or email content with third parties. Period.
